1. Decide who will be in the portraits. Will this session be of just your children or are Mom and Dad jumping in also?
2. Decide on your wardrobe. The best way to plan your wall portraits is to look around your house and determine where you will hang your art. Match your clothing to the room decor you will be displaying. Suzanne can and will help style you.
3. Decide on the Season you want to shoot in. If you are scheduling a Studio Portrait Session the season isn't as important, but if Fall is your dream aesthetic, book early or late summer. You can't wait until the leaves start falling to book. Fall is the most popular time for ALL family photographers, so remember this when planning.
4. If your children are different ages, remember to bring toys or play things to use as a distraction for one child while we photograph the other one. If it's a special birthday session, consider leaving everyone at home that's not going to be in the portraits.
5. Take pictures of your walls and show your photographer where you plan on hanging your images. This will help the photographer know if your images will be better displayed horizontal or vertical. It will also give the photographer a chance to see your style.
